Direct
Loan Program - Subchapter 5
The Direct Loan Program is designed to finance the establishment
or expansion of "eligible facilities" through the acquisition, construction
and installation of fixed assets and is VEDA's most actively used loan program.
VEDA presently has more than $33 million outstanding to over 130 Vermont companies
through this loan program.
Local
Development Corporation Loans -
Subchapter 3
Loans to nonprofit local development corporations are
available through VEDA's Subchapter 3 program. "Spec" buildings
and incubators can provide low cost, flexible leased space for businesses
which prefer not to own their own facility.
Industrial
Revenue Bonds - Subchapter 4
The Industrial Revenue Bond program is designed to aid businesses through
VEDA's issuance of tax-exempt, low interest bonds. Regulations relating to
bond issuance are determined by the Federal Tax Code.
Mortgage
Insurance Program - Subchapter 2
The Mortgage Insurance Program is designed to aid businesses by insuring loans
made by commercial banks.
