For nearly 40 years, the Women's Center has offered compassion, hope, and practical help to those facing pregnancy, parenting, and relational challenges. Because of the abundant generosity of our donors, the center has raised nearly $130,000 to aid in the move, and we finally have the perfect place to call home. We invite you to see the space, meet the folks who work on behalf of the center's mission, and learn more about our hopes and dreams for the impact of this new space.
The Women's Center's Executive Director, Joanie Praamsma, shares her favorite parts about the new space:
"We are so excited to have a larger space that is ground level and ADA accessible. It includes a new conference room where we will host group classes on topics such as parenting and relationships. In our new and much-improved ultrasound room, we will continue to offer pregnancy confirmation as well as one-on-one educational classes and recovery support. The new space also houses our popular boutique, Zoey’s Place, where anyone can obtain needed 0-5T clothing, maternity clothes, and other essential baby items. This vital community resource is made affordable for all because everything is offered at a suggested donation. I am so thankful to lead our staff and volunteers as we continue to offer all services at the Women’s Center free of charge and with no qualification restrictions. The generosity of our supporters has made this campaign quite successful, and I look forward to leading us as we attain our $160,000 campaign goal and raise the remaining $30,000 over the coming winter and spring."
