The Patricia A. Hannaford Regional Technical School District is composed of 11 voting members:  4 members representing partner high schools, 3 community members elected at-large at the annual meeting of districts located in the service region, and 4 members representing employers in business and industry in Addison County.  

The Workforce Investment Board (WIB) working through Addison County Workforce Alliance nominates potential members for the 4 positions representing business and industry, and the Hannaford Career Center board appoints them.  

We currently have 2 openings that we are seeking to fill this spring (2021). We are looking for representatives from healthcare and the building trades. WIB representatives must be employed or work in Addison County. 

Board members serve 3-year terms unless they are appointed to fill a vacant position, in which case the appointment runs until the end of the term of the vacant position.  The current openings are for a term that will expire in 2022 and one that will expire in 2023.  

In addition to regular monthly meetings (held normally on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 5-7 at the Career Center), board members serve on one of four standing committees: 
      1) Facilities
      2) Community Engagement 
      3) Budget and Policy
      4) Negotiations

These standing committees meet regularly throughout the year approximately once per month.  Meetings tend to last about an hour.
